This week has been a busy one. I've had one photography show wrap up and a ceramics show start the next day in the gallery next door in Chinatown. I've celebrated a birthday and so have other friends and family members. We have family visiting from Washington state and just finished cooking breakfast for them (pancakes). I visited Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden on my birthday because I heard a rare yellow heliconia regalis was in bloom, the only one I've ever seen. I've tried to take photos of this plant for years but always showed up when it was nice and brown.
